Yoga means Union: here it is, a harmonious alignment of body, mind, and inner awareness. Yogasana is the doorway to this union, where the body becomes steady, the breath becomes calm, and the mind becomes centered. Wherever true union happens, it is Yoga: being one with music is Nāda Yoga, with knowledge is Jñānayoga, with action is Karma Yoga, becoming one with one’s own breath is Raja yoga(meditation).
Being in union with one’s own body and mind is Haṭha Yoga. But it all begins with Yogasana, where we learn to unite with ourselves.
The benefits of Yoga are holistic. Regular practice of Yogasana strengthens the body, improves flexibility, enhances posture, and supports overall physical health. It calms the nervous system, reduces stress, and brings emotional balance. Yoga improves focus, clarity, and inner stability by harmonizing breath and mind. Over time, it cultivates self-awareness, boosts energy levels, and promotes restful sleep. Most importantly, Yoga helps one feel centered, peaceful, and connected, supporting a healthy, joyful, and balanced life.
